Job Summary
Bergman Brothers Staffing is seeking Asbestos Abatement Workers and Supervisors for projects in the kentucky area. Assignments include government buildings, schools, and military bases. Candidates must have current asbestos certifications and be able to pass background checks and drug tests as required by job sites. These are W2 temporary positions with weekly pay. As a staffing agency, we cannot guarantee the number of hours or project length—workload is determined by our clients.

What You’ll Do
Asbestos Abatement Worker
- Set up and maintain containment areas and negative air pressure units
- Remove, bag, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) safely
- Operate HEPA vacuums and decontamination equipment
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and state regulations for asbestos abatement
- Wear full PPE including respirators and protective suits
- Assist with site cleanup and air monitoring as directed
Asbestos Abatement Supervisor
- Supervise abatement crews and ensure compliance with all safety protocols
- Conduct site inspections and maintain project documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Lead safety meetings and enforce PPE usage
- Oversee air monitoring and clearance testing
- Train new workers on procedures and compliance
Requirements
Required:
- Current state asbestos worker or supervisor certification
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required
- Physically able to wear PPE and lift 50+ lbs
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong work ethic and attention to safety
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience on government or military projects
- OSHA 10/30-Hour Construction certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Union experience (where applicable)
Special Requirements
Many assignments are in secure government or military facilities. Candidates must be able to pass background checks and drug tests if required by our customers. US citizenship may be required for some projects. All work is project-based and subject to client needs—hours and duration are not guaranteed.
